Sundays May 5 - 26, 4:00-8:00pm

4 week session on classic alla prima portrait painting. We will focus on speed, nuance, structure and with a special emphasis on color & light variations. This class is designed to strengthen your approach in a typical 3-hour art model session.

This class combines 3 hours of model time with an additional half hours bookended for focused discussion or feedback on the night’s work. From 4:30pm-7:30pm there will be a single portrait pose for the entire 3 hours, with a new model each week. Elizabeth will demo techniques and provide ample feedback to guide you through a single 3-hour alla prima portrait sitting. When the pose ends at 7:30pm, we will spend time discussing the results of our session’s work.
