5 week series focused on challenging single session portrait painting & drawing. We will focus on speed, nuance, structure, drawing and color. This class is designed to strengthen your approach in a typical 3-hour art model session.
For continuing artists, this will be a chance to diversify and focus on personal objectives. Artists are not limited to a specific approach, instead your focus should be on overall objectives towards artistic and aesthetic development.
The class combines 3 hours of model time with an additional half hours bookended for discussion on the night’s work. From 4:30pm-7:30pm there will be a single portrait sitter for the entire 3 hours, with a new model each week. Elizabeth will demo techniques individually and engage in ample discussion through a single 3-hour alla prima portrait sitting. When the pose ends at 7:30pm, you can spend time individually discussing the results of the session’s work.
